Our History
Romance Full Gospel Church began in the old Romance, grocery store and post office building. It started as a Bible study on August 13 of 1985 and on March 16, 1986 we began having Sunday morning and night services. We also had our Bible study on Wednesday night. Our first speaker on Sunday morning March 16 was Mr. Danny Starkey of Rosebud. We had visiting ministers each Sunday until October 5, 1986. We became legally incorporated as a church on October 10, 1986. We bought the property on 1842 Highway five in March 1987. Our new church building was started in March 1995 and we had our first service in our new church on July 27 of 1996 with a singing by the Velvet Ridge singers.
What we believe
- We believe that there is one God eternally existing in three persons, father, son, and Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in his virgin birth, and his sinless life, and his miracles, in his vicarious and atoning death through his shed blood, in his bodily resurrection, in his ascension to the right hand of the father, and in his personal return empower and glory.
- We believe that for the salvation of the lost and sinful men, personal reception of the Lord Jesus Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit are absolutely essential.
- We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose cleansing and and dwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life.
- We believe in the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
- We believe in the resurrection of both saved and lost -- that they are saved unto resurrection of life; and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation
- We believe in the spirit of unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
